With the Super Tuesday primary voting underway as a backdrop, the Tennessee Republican Party on Tuesday hosted a large delegation from Germany’s Christian Democratic Union, the center-right political party of current German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The CDU delegation’s trip to the United States was arranged by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Washington DC., and the group picked Tennessee as the state they wanted to visit to observe Super Tuesday.
