LATEST PRIMARY RESULTS UNDERSCORE OBAMA IS THE CANDIDATE OF ELITIST DEMOCRATS

Mainstream voters reject his arrogant, condescending extreme liberalism

NASHVILLE, TN - After weeks of attempting to deflect the reality of the statements made by Senator Barack Obama that reveal an elite, condescending distance from the average working man and woman of Tennessee, the primary results of Kentucky verify the facts that are replayed in primaries in several states: Barack Obama is an inexperienced junior senator mouthing shopworn liberal clichés and promising policies of massive government expansion, increased taxes and bending over backwards before our enemies – views that are out of step with mainstream, heartland America.

Obtaining only 30 percent of the vote in Kentucky – after winning just nine of 95 counties in the Tennessee Democrat Primary - Barack Obama’s own words serve to remind Tennesseans that Democrats are no longer the party of the “common man.”

At a San Francisco fundraiser speaking of folks dealing with difficult financial times, Senator Obama remarked that “it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Voters must be vigilant to the real solutions being offered by John McCain which are in direct contrast to the promises of Barack Obama.

John McCain proposes health care that is affordable, owned by the individual, with personal choice in your doctor and coverage in contrast to Obama’s socialized medicine that will give patients no personal choice of doctor.

John McCain promises to increase take-home pay for wage earners through tax reductions and restrained government spending; Barack Obama has called for higher income taxes, higher Social Security taxes, higher investment taxes and higher corporate taxes, to fund massive new domestic spending.

John McCain commits that the Global War on Terror will be fought to win with a strategy for military and political victory with no appeasement and meetings with terrorist groups; Barack Obama has repeatedly called for direct talks with known terrorist groups and leaders of terrorist regimes and a foreign policy that endangers America’s partner in peace, Israel.

“Pretty speeches with puffed-up promises mask a grim reality: Obama is a tax-and-spend politician whose agenda will in reality penalize the average wage-earning man and woman trying to obtain the American Dream for their family,” remarked Robin Smith, Chairman of the Tennessee Republican Party. “Tennessee voters deserve a voice in their state house and in the White House that represents their culture and beliefs.”
