“On this day of remembrance, we celebrate the life of a man whose conviction and sacrifice put our nation on a rightful path to opportunity and equality for all. The work of Dr. Martin Luther King is unfinished but the foundations built by his dream so many years ago remain solid today and give us hope that one day his dream of an America completely free of prejudice will be realized. Today, we not only celebrate the life of Dr. King but we also honor the legacy of a true American hero.”
