TNGOP Monthly Review
Dear Friends,
I’m happy to report that the 107th Tennessee General Assembly adjourned this evening. Tennesseans have been eager to see much-needed tax relief, a reduced and balanced budget, streamlined government services and meaningful education reforms; and our Republican leadership delivered.
President Obama and Washington Democrats would do us all a huge favor if they governed in a similar manner to our Tennessee Republicans. I applaud Governor Haslam, Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey and Speaker Beth Harwell for their conservative leadership to move Tennessee forward.
As we continue to prepare for November’s crucial elections, I hope you will take a look at a couple opportunities below, along with a recap of some of the things that happened in April.
Leadership School- Last year, we hosted four Leadership Schools across the state in an effort to train Republicans on effective grassroots organizing, messaging and fundraising. We are thrilled to announce that we will host our fifth Leadership School on Saturday, May 19th in Memphis. If you want to know how you can best use your time and talents to elect Republican candidates on the local, state and federal levels, you don’t want to miss this school! This is guaranteed to be a full day of informative training that will cover a variety of topics. To register, click HERE HERE.
Volunteer- Our goals this year include expanding our majorities in the state legislature and Congress, regaining control of the U.S. Senate, and replacing the current occupant of The White House. To be successful with those goals, we have to rely on activists like you on the local level to help us contact voters and share our Republican message. This is accomplished by making phone calls, writing letters and going door-to-door in your community. Working off of one, collective volunteer database, we can better train and equip local county parties and quickly mobilize volunteers in the places we need them most. I encourage you to click HERE to sign up to volunteer and share the link with others!
As a reminder, don’t forget to text “TNGOP” to 66502 for the latest text message updates and alerts.
Thanks for all that you do, and I hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Chris Devaney
Chairman
Tennessee Republican Party
