TNGOP Monthly Review

Dear Friends,

Our Tennessee delegation has just returned from a successful Republican National Convention in Tampa; and it’s clear that Republicans are united and motivated to elect Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in November!

The convention provided us with an opportunity to show a clear contrast between the failed economic policies of the Obama administration and the bold solutions being offered by Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to get our economy moving again, putting us on a path towards a balanced budget and saving Medicare for our seniors and future generations. We’ve included some of the coverage we received from the convention in our “Other Items of Note” section below.

Tennessee Republicans are committed to doing our part to ensure victory in November, and a large part of that effort will be to assist neighboring “swing” states like North Carolina and Virginia. If you would like to be part of that effort, I encourage you to sign up to volunteer HERE.

Meanwhile, the Democrats will kick off their nominating convention of Barack Obama this week and will likely continue to divert focus from the number one issue- the economy. While one of Obama’s top campaign surrogates Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley acknowledged that we are not better off than we were four years ago, a New York Times article focused on the not-so-important issues like how the President can cook a “really mean chili.” I think it’s clear that more and more voters are realizing that we cannot afford 4 more years of the economic heartburn of this administration.

As a reminder, don’t forget to text “TNGOP” to 66502 for the latest text message updates and alerts.

Thanks for all that you do, and I hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,
Chris Devaney
Chairman
Tennessee Republican Party
