This Tennessee Republican Party website was built in-house, using WordPress as the base publishing platform.

The TNGOP.org logo was designed for the Tennessee Republican Party gratis by Allen Fuller at Flat Creek.

The design of the site is based on the original Revolution theme developed by  Brian Gardner of StudioPress. The basic design of the original Revolution theme was altered in-house by Tennessee Republican Party Communications Director Bill Hobbs, with suggestions and advice from Ali Akbar (web, Facebook, Twitter),  Phil Ayers (web, Facebook, Twitter), and Allen Fuller (web, Facebook, Twitter)

Several features on the site are made possible by add-on pieces of software developed for WordPress by fans and users of WordPress, including cforms,  HeadSpace2, Image Caption, PodPress, Role Scoper, ShareThis, WordPress Mobile Edition, and WP-Polls. In addition, the site incorporates two Google web applications, FeedBurner and Google Calendar.

The secure donation forms on the site are built and managed by Strategic Fundraising of St. Paul, Minn.

The site also pulls in pages and content from other sites such as  Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and the websites of the Tennessee Legislature, Tennessee’s two Republican U.S. Senators, four Republican U.S. Representatives, and three declared Republican candidates for governor. The Tennessee Republican Party is not responsible for the content, functionality or availability of those pages.

Development of this website began under the oversight of Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Robin Smith in in December 2008, shortly after the Party won a historic victory in the November 2008 elections, taking a majority of seats in the state legislature for the first time since 1868.
