TNGOP Statement on Shooting in Las Vegas

Nashville, Tenn. – October 2, 2017 – Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Scott Golden released the following statement on the tragic shooting in Las Vegas:

"This morning we woke up to news of last night’s horrific shooting in Las Vegas. Tragedies of this magnitude ignite a number of emotions, but today the most appropriate response is for us to pray. Pray for those injured and recovering as well as for the families that have lost loved ones. I find hope in the stories emerging today of festival attendees who risked their own lives to save and protect others. Those individual acts of heroism and courage remind me that our American community is one of compassion and love. In times of adversity we must remain indivisible, holding dear all that unites us."
